Firdavs Yuldashev

I’m Firdavs Yuldashev, an architect/designer that loves doing analogue photography. I’ve been into photography since day one, but got into shooting on film specifically when Covid pandemic hit and froze time. It gave me the courage to just pick up a film camera and document the retro-motels and neon signs that I visit along my trip on Route 66 to Los Angeles every year. I’m heavily inspired by anything retro and the odd sense of longing for nostalgia. I love traveling Route 66 because it takes me back in time. I have found it to be one of the most photogenic places to capture, the Googie neon architecture just looks so spectacular on film. Photography has allowed me to slow down and look for moments that would look good on a frame. Anytime I shoot, I want the photo to look like a movie scene. This particular photo shows one of my most favorite spots on the Route, it’s Blue Swallow Motel. Being one of the oldest and coolest looking motels in the US, it’s an epitome of Americana and the road culture for me. I stay there on everyone of my trips because the atmosphere is incredible and the owners are one of the friendliest people ever. Most of the time, you’ll spot at least one person staying in one of the suites who has a classic car. I’m a sucker for classic cars, it’s just something that comes with being a film photographer. With every photo I take, I hope to inspire a spark in someone else who might come across and get that same feeling of nostalgia.

All of our artworks are matte printed on a heavy 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag 100% cotton paper. The lightly defined felt structure and characteristic soft Photo Rag feel gives every print an incredible depth and almost three-dimensional appearance.

Framing

Our frames are made from wood and hand assembled for each piece. We use 2.5mm thick Tru Vue museum glass. When it comes to custom framing, this glass product is unmatched with its amazing clarity and uncompromised protection. It virtually eliminates reflections, it blocks up to 99% of UV rays and its enhanced surface allows for better durability and easy cleaning.

Shipping

Most orders are delivered within 3-5 working days of the order being placed. Once shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number from us so you can keep an eye on your delivery. We don’t include any paper in your order to avoid waste. An invoice and certificate of authenticity will be sent digitally.
